Food Cupboard Guidelines and Recommendation Form

Purpose

• Make cash contributions to charitable organizations recommended by our members.

Administration Guidelines

• The Food Cupboard is a pass-through operation. The only funds expended are those already received from DVSA members.
• Cash awards are $750 each except for awards made to selected organizations based on a special solicitation at year-end. (currently Children’s Hospital and Ronald McDonald House)
• DVSA members are encouraged to recommend charitable organizations to receive awards and may do so at any time.
• The organization must be charitable and non-profit, involved in feeding the needy.
• The organization must be active in the Delaware Valley area.
• The person submitting the recommendation must be a dues-paying DVSA member.
• The recommender must be personally involved or have personal knowledge of the organization and its activities.
• Organizations receiving a $750 contribution are eligible for reconsideration at any time.
• The DVSA Board will approve each $750 award as well as the selected organizations for whom contributions will be solicited from members at year-end.
• Changes to these guidelines can be made by Board approval only.

Food Cupboard Recommendation Form.  There are two ways to complete the form.  One way is to print the PDF form, fill it out manually, and bring it to the luncheon.  The other way is to open and save the word document form, fill it out online, and send it via email.
